It is rare to find a restaurant so good that you find yourself visiting three days in a row, but Pho34 Vietnamese Cuisine has officially become my new obsession. I first discovered this gem through DoorDash, and after being blown away by the quality of two separate delivery meals, I knew I had to experience the restaurant in person. I’m actually writing this review mid-meal on my third consecutive day here because the food is just that incredible. Located right in the heart of Toms River, the atmosphere is beautiful—the vibrant murals and clean, inviting decor make it a perfect sit-down spot. Whether you’re ordering the perfectly charred grilled chicken over fried rice or the citrus-topped grilled salmon, the flavors are balanced, fresh, and authentic. You can tell the chef puts a massive amount of heart into the kitchen; the execution is flawless every single time. Beyond the plate, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, treat you like a regular from the moment you walk in. If you are looking for the best Vietnamese food in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. This place is a well-earned 5-star staple for the community.

Food has always been good here, but maybe there’s a new chef because it’s even better now than what I remember. I had the short rib pho and the flavor was phenomenal. I also had the summer rolls which had an elevated taste as well. I don’t know what change was made but please keep it this way!!!!

My server was incredibly attentive and nice. The Vietnamese coffee was not sweet but still tasty. I had the spring rolls and already got full after just one. The grilled pork inside is AMAZINGGGGG. The sauce too is chefs kiss. I had chicken stir fry and they accommodated my request for no rice and extra veggies. God, it was so good. I’m coming back soon I loved everything I had.

Service was fantastic, Staff could not have been nicer. Food tasted delicious and beautiful presentation as well. Would definitely recommend and would go back! We got the lemongrass chicken, Sweet and sour shrimp soup and short rib pho.

First impression A massive, fall apart beef rib standing proudly in the bowl like it knows it’s the main character. Deep, clear broth with serious flavor, not greasy, not flat, just rich and comforting. The kind of broth you immediately slow down for because you don’t want to waste a sip. Portion size Easily two meals. No exaggeration. I ate until I was full, packed it up, and still had plenty of noodles, meat, and broth left. This is one of those rare leftovers that somehow tastes even better the next day. Freshness The vegetables were crisp and fresh, not sad or wilted. Plenty of herbs, scallions, and onions to keep every bite balanced. Nothing felt rushed or skimpy. Pro tip Spend the extra $2 for additional bean sprouts and pho veggies. Do it. Your future self will be grateful. When you’re reheating leftovers and still have broth and noodles but need more crunch and freshness, those extra veggies save the day. Overall Comfort food done right. Big portions, quality ingredients, and flavors that feel thoughtful instead of generic. If you’re ordering beef rib pho in New Jersey, this spot deserves a spot on your repeat list.
